Most authors write to send meaningful messages about life.  Think about two different texts that have similar topics.  Consider what message the texts have in common.
    
Write an essay in which you compare works that express a universal theme.  Explain the theme the works share.  Describe how each author communicates the theme. Provide evidence to support your ideas.
